What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
Wealth management is an incredibly broad and interesting career. Taking clients from the start and helping them get organised, overcome complexity, find clarity, and then be confident in the future is very rewarding. Can’t think of anything I would rather do.
What’s the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge is dealing with uncertainty. The financial markets, the economy and global events all conspire to make people feel vulnerable. Helping people through this takes time and patience.
What do you love most about being part of Capital Partners?
Our clients and our team members care about each other, the community and the world, and this makes for a very collaborative, positive and team oriented culture. We really feel as though we are making a difference in people’s lives and we celebrate this.
What quality of yours makes you suited to what you do?
I am strongly motivated to help people grow, so I gain immense satisfaction from seeing our team develop professionally and personally. This directly benefits our clients and gives them better outcomes.
How should people think about their wealth?
Money is an enabler and in the bigger scheme of things, money isn’t that important. Living a great life can’t be measured by the money we have. Great lives are about, helping others, focusing on the people we care about and, the memorable experiences we have together.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I am a family person so time at home tops my list of favourite things to do. I am actively involved in North Cottesloe Surf Lifesaving Club, I also cycle regularly and run around the hockey field in winter.
What does your ideal holiday look like?
My ideal holiday is active! Walking, cycling, skiing; I don’t mind, so long as I’m with fun people doing fun things.
